Angellos Improglou, 61, husband of Stella Improglou of Norwalk, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 23, 2018.
Born February 9, 1957, in Thessaloniki, Greece, he was son of the late George Improglou and Hrisanthy Papastergiou.
Angellos came to the United States in 1982 with his wife, where they first settled in New Orleans, LA, to start their family and later moved to Norwalk, CT in 1992 in pursuit of better opportunities for their family. Angellos worked at the Norwalk Hospital for over 25 years and enjoyed watching soccer and football, specifically ARIS FC (one of his hometown teams in Greece) and New Orleans Saints. His family and friends will always remember him for his kind heart, willingness to help, and most of all his sense of humor. He was a one of a kind individual who was always well liked by his friends, relatives and acquaintances, and will always be remembered.
He is survived by his wife Stella, daughter Hrisanthy and son George. He is also survived by his brother Demetris Improglou and wife Koula, as well as his nephew George and niece Anna, all of Thessaloniki, Greece.
Family and friends may call, Wednesday, December 26 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, CT 06851. Trisigion service will be held at 7PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27 at 10 AM at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, CT 06851. Interment will follow at Saint John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
