Alexander M. Butkowsky, 94, of Anderson, South Carolina, husband of the late Mary Socci Butkowsky, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Richard Campbell Veteran’s Home in Anderson South Carolina.
Born October 26, 1924 in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Helen Lucas Butkowsky.
Mr. Butkowsky served in the U.S. Army and later had a career as a Graphic Artist.
He is survived by his children John, Allen, Tom, Bridget and Zoe. He is also survived by his step-children, John Joseph, Laurie, and Stacey; as well as by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Mary, he was predeceased by his son Stephen.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan, CT. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan, CT.
