William “Will” James Markelon, of Norwalk, CT entered eternal rest Sunday November 11, 2018.
Born January 31, 1987, in Norwalk, Connecticut, he was the son of Janet Markelon and William Markelon. Will was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, where he served four years honorably, and fought for our country in three tours. He fought along side his best friends John Smith, Lenny Nicolosi, JC Hrack, Joshua Blair, and the late Zahary Dewley, in Afghanastan. He is a hero to our country, and will be remembered with a military burial. Once he retired from the Marines, Will earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, and owned his own Remodeling company.
Will is survived by both of his parents, Janet and William Markelon of Norwalk; Sister Rebecca Willox and her Husband Seth of Seymour; and three beloved nieces Cora, Laney, and Grace. Uncle Will meant the absolute world to these little girls. Will was predeceased by both of his grandfathers, Ernest Beke and Charles Markelon, both of Norwalk, also military veterans.
Friends and Family may call, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Interment with full military honors will follow in St John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
