Patrick John Hughes, 28, of Denver, CO passed away peacefully on Wednesday the 20th of June 2018 at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, CT. He is the son of Barney Hughes of Wilton, CT and Diane Hughes Gentempo of Portsmouth, NH and is survived by his twin siblings Peter and Gregory Hughes, both 24.
Pat was a 2008 graduate of Wilton High School and a 2013 graduate of Colorado College. He was currently enrolled in a master’s program at Denver University. He was certified as a Wilderness First Responder, and was a two-time graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). An avid outdoorsman, he had a palpable love of nature and the environment and was enthusiastic about fishing, golf, snowboarding, rock climbing, gardening, and just being outdoors. He lived a robust life, was loved by many, and enjoyed good times in the company of good friends.
A memorial service for Pat will be held Sunday, July 1 at 12:30pm at The First Congregational Church, 3 Lewis Street, Norwalk, CT. Following the ceremony, the Family welcomes all friends to join in a celebration of Pat’s life at Shore and Country Club in Norwalk.
