George C. Knakal, 87 husband of Kathleen passed away on Sunday January 21st, 2018 in Norwalk, CT.
George had many talents with the heart to match. He loved his skating and hockey families. Sharpening and fitting boots and blades for his competitive skaters was his passion.
For many years he was an excellent custom cabinet maker in New York City, creating extraordinary high quality wood furniture.
Living in Norwalk, CT for over 40 years he enjoyed Long Island Sound on his sailboats and towards the end of his life he rode his beloved Harley on many trips until he was 85!
He was unique. He was genuine. His wife and all of his children will miss his love.
Friends may call on Thursday for a memorial wake from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A service will be held at 11 :00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial of the urn will follow in a cemetery in Queens, NY.
