Eleanor Iannacone DeLallo, 88, wife of the late Santo “Sonny” DeLallo of Norwalk passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017.
Born in Norwalk on October 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Sebastiano and Gesomina DiMartino Iannacone.
Eleanor truly loved and lived for her family and friends. Listening to music was a joy and always put a smile on her face. She enjoyed playing Bingo. Eleanor had many fond memories and friendships from her 50 plus years living at Mills Street.
Eleanor is survived by her children Linda Carothers and her husband John and Dr. Santo DeLallo and his wife Kathy of Norwalk. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tracy Carothers of Westport, Lindsay Carothers Menking (Brad) of Redding, and Kaitlyn DeLallo of Norwalk and by one great grandchild Brayden Menking, as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Sonny, Eleanor was predeceased by her siblings; Antoinette D’Andria Coppola, Amelia “Millie” Gisolfi, Alexander Iannacone, Rose Letizia, Alphonse “Buck” Iannacone and Mary Iannacone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 11, at 12:00 Noon at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribbner Avenue, Norwalk. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. There are no calling hours.
