Phyllis Mary Smith, a longtime resident of Norwalk and New Canaan died on March 27, 2016 at the Nathaniel Witherell Home in Greenwich, Connecticut at the age of 91.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Margaret Smith, Helen Alladin, Charles Smith, Elizabeth Smith and Patrice Getachew; her sons-in-law: Toy Alladin, Trevor Forbes, Getachew Challa and her daughter-in-law Everin Smith; her grandchildren: Opal Alladin, Renee Alladin, Dimetra Jones, Cindy Watson, Aaron Smith, Sara Getachew, Daniel Getachew, Timothy Smith and Alexandra Forbes; her great grandchildren: Christina, Brooke, Blake, Lauren, Aidan, Brandon and Gabriel; her siblings: Joseph Quinlan and Cecile Massy; nieces and nephews and many loyal friends. She was predeceased by her parents; Alice and Philip Quinlan, her husband Charles O. Smith, and siblings Elaine Caines and Cornelius Quinlan.
The visitation will be held at Collins Funeral Home 92 East Avenue, Norwalk Ct. 06851 on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s R.C Church, 669 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850 on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00AM.
