Michael P. Drozd, 74, husband of Diane Buhler Drozd, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at home on June 28 th , 2017. Born November 13, 1942, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Orban Drozd.
Mike graduated from Norwalk High School and served in the U, S. Navy and Naval Reserves for six years. For over 30 years he worked as an arborist for Cotta Expert Tree Company. He was a member of the American Legion and a “Thirty Year Member” of the South Norwalk Boat Club. Mike loved spending time with his family, sports cars, traveling and being there to help out in any way he could. He had a wonderfully subtle sense of humor and was a very generous man who was devoted to his family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons; Michael Scott Drozd, and his wife, Kristine, of Redding, David Drozd, and his wife, Connie, of Norwalk, two grandsons; Daniel and Jameson. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a sister, Sandra Drozd Eyes, and brother-in-law, Marshall Eyes.
Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A prayer service will commence at 7:00 P. M. Burial with Military Honors will take place at 11:00 A.
