Sandra J. Glynn, 73, of Darien, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2017, after succumbing to a long illness. Sandra was born on November 16, 1943 in Norwalk, CT to the late Seymour and Edna White Frankel.
Sandra was a long-time resident of Darien CT, and volunteered at Person to Person for some 15 years. She was an avid amateur photographer and traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and South America with her husband of almost 50 years, Michael W. Glynn Sr. Sandra was a loving and caring soulmate to her husband, an affectionate and devoted mother to her two sons, and a doting and attentive “nana” to her five grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Michael W. Glynn Sr., her sons, Christopher W. Glynn of Cortland Manor, NY, Michael W. Glynn Jr. and daughter-in-law Sara Hamon Glynn of Darien, CT, her grandchildren, Kelly Meany, Grier Glynn, Alexandra Glynn, Willow Glynn and Violet Glynn, as well as her sisters, Ann Baena of West Palm Beach, FL, Hannah Stein of California, Margot Webb of Norwalk, CT, and Linda Waetjen of San Antonio, TX.
Besides her parents, Sandra is predeceased by her brothers, Frederick M. Frankel and Howard E. Frankel.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 26, at 11:00 AM at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
