She possessed a contagious smile and any healthcare provider who would ask she would ademently inform them her teeth were all hers, and they don’t come out.

Known for her love and devotion to her faith and her family, talking on the telephone, shopping, high heels, champagne, socializing with friends, gambling, getting her hair fixed every week and a great tan.

Shirley enjoyed dancing, singing and hosting many picnics and parties in their home in Norwalk, CT.

Born July 15, 1928, in Norwalk to Michael Joseph Yuftczak and Hazel Irene Grover Yuftczak. Shirley attended school until 11th grade. She began working to help contribute to her family’s household. Mrs. Travo was employed by Pepperidge Farms, Nathan Hale School and volunteered at Norwalk Hospital. She was also a devoted wife, nurturing mother and auntie, homemaker and caregiver to many in her neighborhood.

Shirley married Alexander Vincent Travo of Norwalk on September 18, 1948. Married 57 years until his death in 2005.

Shirley also resided in Milford but currently lived in Shelton.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alex, her son Gary Alexander and two brothers Leon and Donald Yuftczak all of Norwalk.

Survived by her sister Florence Viola Bossone of Norwalk, her son Chris Michael and his wife Angela, niece Francee Karpiej and her husband Joseph of Trumbull and her extended family nephews, Michael A. (Mick) Bossone and Romas A. (Skip) Bossone of Norwalk.
