Peter K. Underhill, 77, of New Canaan passed away at his home on December 16, 2016. Born in Brooklyn on March 22, 1939,
Mr. Underhill was the son of the late Reginald Barnes and Lois Kraeger Underhill, and a direct descendant of Captain John Underhill, king-appointed Governor of Vermont in 1658. He graduated from Staples High School in 1957, and attended the University of Connecticut. He spent his summers on Cape Cod where he met his wife, Eleanor Cuneo Underhill. Mr. Underhill was a local businessman, avid outdoorsman, patriot, and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, son Christopher Peter and wife Kristjana, daughter Alexandra Barnes, five grandchildren, one brother, and two sisters.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11am at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan.
