Josephine Theresa Lagos, 87, wife of the late George Peter Lagos, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in Syracuse NY surrounded by family.
Born on August 21, 1929, in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Carmela (Genovese) Martinetti. Survived by a brother & sister Joseph & Jean Martinetti.
Josephine is survived by her 4 children, Leona O’Flaherty (Thomas) of Norwalk, CT, Jean Rigney of Syracuse, NY, George Lagos (Andrea) of Turnersville, NJ, Christopher Lagos (Monica) of Staten Island, NY. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Martin “Sonny” Martinetti, Both son Paul Lagos & wife Mary, Son In law Richard Rigney and Sister n law Nora Martinetti.
Friends may call on Monday, November 14, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15, at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
