Ronald F. Courville

Ronald F. Courville, 84, of Norwalk, died November 9th 2016,  in Maplewood at Danbury.

Born in Worchester, MA, raised in Norwalk, son of the late Edward and Mildred Couture Courville, he was a Korean War veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Upon discharge from the Air Force, Ron went to work as a driver for L. J. Gardella Trucking, and then went on to boat sales at Rex Marine Center. He participated in Democratic politics and was the City Treasurer for a term and the Harbor Master. Ron left Norwalk to operate Boston Harbor Marina for several years. To say Ron was an avid fisherman is an understatement; he was always out fishing. Ron was a longtime member of the South Norwalk Boat Club and was made a ‘Life Member’.

Survivors include one brother; William Courville, of California, many nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by three brothers; Edward and Dr. Warren Courville, Jerry Courville, Sr. and a sister; Beverly Cote.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 15th, at 12:00 Noon in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday, November 15th, from 10:30 to 11:30 A. M. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue.
