Angelina Macaluso, 103, of Norwalk, wife of the late Joseph Macaluso Sr., died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her home in Norwalk, surrounded by her family.
Born August 20, 1913 in Saugatuck, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carrie Zilempo DeMaria.
Family was her life. She also enjoyed cooking, golf, and socializing with her friends and Shorehaven Golf Club. She was famous for her Monday night macaroni dinners.
Mrs. Macaluso is survived by her three sons: Joseph Jr., Frank and Thomas Macaluso. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Christopher, Christie, Joseph and Laura Macaluso; her great-grandson Johnny Macaluso, sister Gloria Licari, and brother Sam DeMaria.
In addition to her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by siblings: Nettie Rietano, Jack DeMaria, Joseph DeMaria, Nick Demaria, Jane Doucette and “Baby Frank” DeMaria.
Friends may call on Tuesday, November 8 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
