Paul & Phyllis Pokrop

Phyllis S. Pokrop, 92, of Norwalk, died October 18th, at Notre Dame Convalescent Home. She was the wife of Paul C. Pokrop and the mother of Edward Charles Pokrop.

Paul C. Pokrop, 94, died Sunday, October 23rd, in Norwalk Hospital.

 

Mrs. Pokrop was born in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Lydia Strobel.

 

Paul C. Pokrop was born in New Haven, son of the late Frederick M. and Helene Pokrop. A World War II veteran of the U. S. Army, he was a retired Connecticut Light and Power supervisor, and a former member of Flotilla 72, U. S. C. G. Auxiliary. In addition to his son, he is survived by a brother, Harold Pokrop, of  Palm Coast, FL

 

The Pokrops were members of the Neptune Boat Club. Paul was also a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club, as son Ed still is. The family has enjoyed boating and fishing on Long Island Sound for many years.

 

Friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Saturday, Nov. 12th, from 10:00 A. M.; with a funeral service at 11:30 A. M.
