Anna Mary Reda, 85, wife of the late Jean David Reda died peacefully at on October 2, 2016, 9:01am at St. Mary’s Hospital –Vitas Hospice Unit in Waterbury, CT. Anna was born December 15, 1930, in Norwalk, CT. Anna was the daughter of Generosa and Emelia Festa.
The values Anna instilled in her life are: Faith in God, a strong work ethic, caring for others and her love of children and animals. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards, enjoying tag sales and spending time with her special needs son.
Anna was a loving mother of five children: Debra (Larry) Johnson of Lewisville, NC, David Reda of Watertown, CT, Diane Reda-West of Westport, CT, Joseph (Lisa) Reda of Bethlehem, CT and Anne (Gerry) Vilhotti of Thomaston, CT.
Most precious to Anna are her grandchildren: Eric (Elizabeth) West, Lauren (James) Simmons, Kristie Reda, Mary Jo Reda and Emily Vilhotti.
Anna joins her 2 brothers; Alfred & Samuel Festa in Heaven and is survived by her sisters; Mary Manzi, Josephine Purcell, Faye Dubois, Rose Russo, Helen Barati, Tillie Besaw as well as her brother Patsy Festa.
Friends may call Thursday, October 6th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 7th at 10:00am in St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richard Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
