Georgios Koletsos, age 83, passed away peacefully the night of May 16 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in the town of Oropedio, Greece and moved to Norwalk, CT with his family in 1971 after serving in the Greek military.
Georgios is survived by his son, Soterios, his daughter-in-law, Chrysi, his daughter, Elizabeth, his son-in-law, Joseph Moquin, and his nine grandchildren, George, Athanasios, Stephania, Yianni, Frideriki, Alexandra, Ioulia, Katie, and Christopher. He was predeceased by his beloved brother Lukas. Georgios was an incredible husband to his wife Frideriki, who predeceased him in 2014 after 54 years of marriage.
He was a Norwalk resident for 51 years and worked hard to support his family, impacting the lives of everyone around him. Georgios will be truly missed but never forgotten.
A private burial service will be held in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk, CT.
