Yvonne Mary McCall (née Sadd), 82, died from complications of Covid-19 on April 18, 2020, at Norwalk Hospital, in Norwalk, Connecticut (CT). We thank the courageous hospital staff for all they did for her and so many others during this time.

Yvonne was born on January 28, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio (OH), the third child of the late Thomas and Linda Sadd, and sister of the late Madeline Hanna and Myron Sadd. She attended Regina High School and Ursuline College. After graduating, she proudly worked as a lab technician at the Cleveland Clinic and then later in medical labs in the Los Angeles area, where she moved soon after marrying the late Amiel Joseph McCall on October 22, 1960. Together, Vonnie and Joe, as they were known, raised four children in South Euclid, OH, and Sudbury, Massachusetts. They were very active in their children’s lives, in their large extended families, and in their surrounding community. While living in Sudbury, Vonnie became a Licensed Real Estate Agent. She continued working as an agent at William Raveis Real Estate in Darien, CT, after she and Joe moved to Rowayton, CT, in 2002, to be closer to their children’s families. She also enjoyed gardening and volunteered with the Rowayton Gardeners.

Whether she was in the lab or hustling for her clients, volunteering, or even reading at her beloved Bayley Beach, Vonnie was full of warmth and boundless enthusiasm and energy, ready to talk and laugh with just about anyone. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt; loving wife, mother, and grandmother; and dedicated follower of the Catholic faith. She worshiped at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk, CT.

She is survived by her children Mark, Leslie, Greg and Patricia; her grandchildren Alexander, Kate, Lexi, Athena and Natasha; her sister Jeannette and brother-in-law Edward Aftoora; her sister-in-law Carrie Delle Baddour; brother- and sister-in-law Roy and Sue McCall; and countless beloved nieces and nephews. She will be missed immensely.

Her remains will be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery in Norwalk, CT, but services are postponed until further notice.
