Elaine S. Alkon, 85, of Trumbull, CT wife of the late Herman R. Alkon, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at her home.
Born April 3, 1934, in New Jersey, was the daughter of Joseph and Sophie Wattenberg.
Mrs. Alkon lived in Norwalk for 35 years and most recently resided in Trumbull, CT for the past 16 years. She attended NYU and Columbia University and was a member of National Association of Social Workers and an active member of the League of Women Voters. She was an avid reader and devoted mother.
She is survived by daughters Amanda Alkon of Hamden, CT and Michele McElhinney and her husband Kevin of Holliston, MA; three grandsons, Jason, Hunter and Gavin of Holliston, MA.
A service will be held graveside on Sunday, November 10 at 12:30 PM at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ.
