Leslie Brin Andrews embraced everything she did with passion, perfection and pure joy. She was cherished by so many people whom she made feel special and cared for deeply. Leslie appreciated the lighter side of life and laughter was always guaranteed.

Cycling, theatre arts, travelling, good food, dental hygiene edducation were among Leslie’s passions; she strived for the best in each of these pursuits. She received many career honors and medals that demonstrated her dedication and excellence.

Leslie was on a continual path to be the best person she could be whatever challenge might have been thrown in her way.  She faced these challenges head on with unparalleled strength, courage and humor.

Leslie’s story started on June 5, 1948 in New York City where she spent her childhood and attended the High School of Performing Arts; a highlight of her early years. She went on to Northwestern University to study theatre arts. After college, she pursued a corporate career that did not bring her much satisfaction so she became a dental hygienist; a career she loved.

Leslie knew every lyric to every Broadway show written. Her friends know this because as hard as we tried to test her skills, she always would burst into full lyrics of any remote song we threw out to her.

On the bike, Leslie was in paradise tackling the many hills of New England and enjoying several adventures with her many bike buddies. Through her cycling, she became a lifetime member of the Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club where she gave endless energy and support to fellow members and events. Ride leader, honored lifetime member, master organizer and queen of the food and rest stops (she could make 100 PB & jelly sandwiches in minutes) were just a few roles she played.

When it came time to retire, a new door was opened for her that took her back to her roots and her tremendous love for theatre arts. Leslie began acting again in several area productions and quickly became a valued contributor to the local theatre community.

Leslie is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Gary Andrews. They enjoyed countless adventures around the globe together as well as hanging out at home with their well-loved cats. She will also be dearly missed by her stepson, Scott Andrews, Suling Andrews and granddaughter Amanda and devoted family and friends.

Services will be private. For details on a future public celebration of her life send an email to: ravynzoe@gmail.com
