Jamie Wing, 42 of Norwalk, CT, died suddenly on Sunday May 12, 2019.

Beloved husband of Danielle Meisner Wing and devoted father of Julia and Caroline. Adored son of Ann Marie (Debrase) Wing and the late George Wing. Treasured brother of Kristy Cahill and Daniel Wing.  Son in law to Anne and the late Horst Meisner. Brother in law to William Cahill, Jay and Suzanne Hendricks, John and Lucia Cronin, Matt and Christine Rae, Nathan and Andrea Gottlieb. Beloved uncle to 11 nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own.

Jamie was raised in Burlington, MA where he initially showcased his athletic talent and love for sports on the baseball field. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1994 and went on as the starting catcher for Tufts University. He completed his studies in Political Science and graduated from Tufts in 1998.

Jamie exemplified what it meant to work hard. After completing his undergraduate study, he worked tirelessly through the ranks in the finance world and most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Structured Finance for East West Bank in New York.

He worked hard and loved even harder. He married Danielle, the love of his life, in 2009, and became a dad to Julia in 2011 and to Caroline in 2013. The love he had for his girls was unparalleled. Jamie always lit up a room when he entered it, but nothing made him glow more than talking about his wife and children.

Jamie was an incredibly intelligent and charismatic man who loved the outdoors, sports, music and travel, but it is his kindness, compassion and sense of humor that he will be most remembered for. He had a remarkable ability to bring laughter to any situation and often would have those in his company laughing to the point of tears.

Jamie will be remembered by all as a devoted son, husband, father, uncle and fiercely loyal friend who made everyone’s world just a little brighter every day. He will be missed dearly, and his spirit will live on with his two beautiful daughters.

Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A brief service will be held at 7:30 PM. Burial will be private.
