Sean P. Sheridan, 86, of Norwalk, went to Heaven on May 7th, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving wife, Kathleen and sons, Sean and Patrick after a long illness.
Born in Balla, Co Mayo, Ireland, August 30, 1929, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Sheridan. After moving to the United States he was a longtime resident of Norwalk and was employed as assistant manager at A & P Food Stores for 35 years. Sean was a founding member of St. Philip Church; and served as an usher/greeter. He was an avid gardener and a big NY Giants and Major League baseball fan. Sean enjoyed going to the Gaelic American Club on Sundays to watch the Irish football games.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife, Kathleen and sons; Sean, of New Milford, and Patrick, of Norwalk, include two granddaughters; Elizabeth and Lucy, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters; Eileen Gavin and Mary McCobb, and brother; Michael Sheridan.
Sean lived a life that was devoted to helping others and he will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 14th, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Philip Church. There are no calling hours and burial will be private.
