Aldonna M. Sanborn, 71, of South Norwalk, wife of David C. Sanborn, passed away Sunday morning, September 16, 2018, at home with her family.
Born August 5, 1947, in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late George Albert and Helen Balazs Towler. She was a life-long Norwalk Resident.
Mrs. Sanborn was co-owner of In Position Typesetting and Graphics, of Darien, for eighteen years, and for the past twelve years worked as a physicians’ coder at Norwalk Hospital E. R. Aldonna was a Life Member of the South Norwalk Boat Club Women’s Auxiliary and twice past President.
Survivors in addition to her husband David, include twin sons; Stephen Sanborn and his wife Anissa, of Fairfield, Scott Sanborn and his wife Eliza, of Belen, New Mexico, an uncle; Gene Balazs, of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, grandchildren; Ava, Jean, Faith and Scott, sisters-in-law; Catherine Shiel and Mary “Polly” Scarff, both in Florida, her cousin Kate Baker and nieces, nephews and several cousins.
A memorial wake will be held on Tuesday, September 25, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. Interment will take place in New Hampshire State Veterans’ Cemetery, Boscawen, New Hampshire at a later date.
