Norma Lorraine Bernier, 91, wife of Joseph O. Bernier and life-long resident of Norwalk, CT, passed away the evening of Saturday September 1st.
Born September 16th, 1926, in Norwalk, CT, she was the daughter of the late Inez & William Gates and sister to the late Earl Pratt.
Norma married Joseph O. Bernier on September 27th, 1950 in Greenwich, CT. Together they raised their two children and owned and operated an upholstery business at the marina in Norwalk, CT.
Norma loved her family most. She loved dancing with her husband and friends and hosting parties and holidays. She was always laughing and could light up a room with her smile. She loved gathering with friends and family for the holidays, cooking her Sunday dinners and showering all of her grandchildren with love. Heaven has gained an incredibly beautiful soul.
Norma is survived by her husband Joseph, her daughter Diane of FL, her son Wayne and his wife Audrey of Westport, CT, her grandchildren, Kimberly, Jessica & Stephanie, her great grand children, Walter IV, Samantha, Ashley, Savannah & Noah and her great great grandson Walter V, as well as her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
