Carol Dombroski of Norwalk died this past Saturday at home after a nine-year battle with cancer. She was born in Herkimer, New York to the late Floyd and Carolyn Cordes. She is survived by her husband, James, her son, Jamie, her brother, Leroy Cordes, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her sister Patricia.
Carol was a graduate of Norwalk High School and Charter Oak College. She worked at Merchant’s Bank, Remington, Suburban Cadillac of Stamford, Charter Oak College, Skyview Realty and Berkshire Hathaway New England Properties. She was also President of the Ben Franklin Gardens Condominium Association, from which she derived a great deal of satisfaction.
Carol was an avid bowler, swimmer, and practitioner of Tai Chi. She was also an award-winning photographer. She was a tap dancer and line dancer. Her line dancing gave her much joy and happiness.
Services for Carol will be held privately.
