Katherine M. Glynn 95, of Norwalk Connecticut, passed on December 30 at the Norwalk Hospital. Katherine was born September 24, 1922, in Norwalk, CT, the daughter of the late Louis C. and Kostoula H. Maskaleris.
She loved her family, friends and working in her gardens. Katherine graduated from Norwalk High School. After graduating she attended The Traphagen School of Fashion in New York City. She also worked at Edwards and Company Inc, in Norwalk where she met her husband. She was also an avid bird watcher and will be missed dearly. Katherine was predeceased by her husband George W. Glynn, daughter Kathleen Glynn, brothers Christos Maskaleris, Milton Maskaleris Athanasios Maskaleris, and two sisters, Dorothy Maskaleris and Efrosene Maskaleris.
She is survived by her four devoted children Elizabeth Glynn and her husband Whit Batchelor of Vermont, Carolyn Daher and her husband Christopher of Wilton, CT, Tom Glynn and his wife Margaret, and George Glynn, Jr. of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. She is also survived by seven loving grandchildren, Maggie, Nicole and Tyler Daher, William and Daniel Glynn, and Randy and Whitlock Batchelor. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday January 3, 2018 at The Archangels Greek Orthodox Church, 1527 Bedford St., Stamford, CT. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk, CT. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Archangels Greek Orthodox Church 1527 Bedford St., Stamford, CT 06905, or to a charity of one’s choice.
