Anthony Bartolo, Sr., 81, husband of the late Antoinette Romano Bartolo of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday March 29, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Born April 28, 1935 in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret Iannacone Bartolo.
Mr. Bartolo graduated from Norwalk High School and was an All-State athlete in both basketball and baseball. He went on to work for C.R. Gibson for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer and bowler, but his real enjoyment came from his dedication as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his three sons Kevin Bartolo (Marlene), Edward Bartolo (Linda) and Anthony Bartolo (Kim), his one daughter Karen Coe (Dave); by 10 grandchildren: Jackie, Jenna (George), Jake, Luke, Danikka, Dylan, Zachary, Mitchell, Katie and Eddie; and by his great-grandson Brady. He is also survived by his brother Sal Bartolo, his sister Pat Haynes and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Maryanne Santasiero.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
