Athina Natsi

Athina Natsi, passed away surrounded by her loving family in Norwalk, Connecticut during the evening of Wednesday, December 7,, 2016.  Athina was born on March 12, 1924 in Kastoria, Greece.  She was the eldest of six, born to Demetrios and Thomai Kosmopoulos. 
She is survived by her only child, Friderika Nikolis and son-in-law, Theofilos Nikolis.  She is also survived by her three grandchildren; Athina Muniz (spouse Angel), Peter (spouse Annette) and James (spouse Carla) Nikolis and six great-grandchildren; Elena and Alexander Muniz, Olivia, Evan, Trevor and Justin Nikolis.  She is survived by three brothers; Evangelos, Eleftherios and Elias Kosmopoulos and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Panagiotis Natsi and her siblings, Elpiniki Samaras and Panagiotis Kosmopoulos and a nephew.  Her greatest joy was to love and nurture her family.  Athina’s life was strongly rooted in her Greek Orthodox faith and she regularly baked bread for the church services.  She maintained a very strong work ethic, enjoyed gardening, but most of all being around her family.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, December 9th, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave, Norwalk, CT. 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10th at 10:30am at the Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford St, Stamford, CT.  Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave, Norwalk, CT.
