Douglas Lee Horne Jr., passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was born March 30, 1926 in Baxley, GA to his Father (Douglas L. Horne Sr.) and Mother (Drusilla Horne). Douglas was affectionately called by his siblings as “D.L.”. He moved to Daytona Beach, FL at an early age. He later left and joined the Army. After military duty, he moved to Connecticut where he had Uncle, Aunts and Cousins there. Douglas worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for multiple industries: Manufacturing; Banking; and, Sports. He had three sisters who preceded him in death (Juanita Rone, Rutha M. Laws and Jacqueline Johnson). He leaves to mourn four sisters and one brother (Dorothy Byrd of Norwalk, CT., Elaine Brown (James) of Palmetto, Fl., Mildred Shepard, Lucinda Allen and Vincent Small of Daytona Beach, FL). Services will be held at a later date.
